Iris 405+: Android 4.4.2, KitKat Upgrade
Please follow the below steps to download the correct version of the software for your device via your personal computer:
PRE-CONDITION :
Phone must be connected to the internet (preferable over Wi-Fi)
Ensure sufficient space (500MB) is available in handset (Phone storage or SD card) before download
Ensure that the Battery is fully charged (or connected to the charger when upgrade is in progress)
It is good to keep a backup of personal data
1.Check the software version available on your device:
2.Go to Menu > Settings > About phone > Build number
3.Note the Build number
4.Download the update.zip file according to Lava Iris 405+ build number.
5. For build no. Lava_iris405+_S115_XXXXXXX- There are two steps to upgrade:
Go To System Settings > About Phone > Software Update > Check for Updates. Download and install the package (< 10MB). The phone will restart but this is not KitKat yet.
Now again Go To System Settings > About Phone >Software Update > Check for Updates . Download and install the 480MB KitKat package. The phone will restart once upgrade is installed. Start enjoying the Android 4.4, KitKat experience.
6.For build no. Lava_iris405+_S117_XXXXXXX- There are two steps to upgrade:
Go To System Settings > About Phone > Software Update > Check for Updates .Download and install the package (< 10MB). The phone will restart but this is not KitKat yet.
Now again Go To System Settings > About Phone >Software Update > Check for Updates .Download and install the 489 MB KitKat package. The phone will restart once upgrade is installed. Start enjoying the Android 4.4, KitKat experience.
